If you prefer a more intensive speaking practice in a one-on-one environment, we can tailor lessons to meet your learning needs. We recommend taking advantage of the hybrid (blended) course option where you can study online on your own time and meet your instructor weekly for speaking practice. Your instructor is a native-speaker experienced in teaching German, and the online lessons are very engaging, with videos produced with German actors as well as grammar explanations and practice exercises. German culture, customs, and values are also introduced in the course. Each online lesson is completed at your own pace during the week, and we can customize a lesson plan that fits your level.
Once a week, you will meet with your instructor to practice the lesson content in engaging conversations, real-world simulations, and to ask grammar and vocabulary questions.  
If you are already using a textbook and need tutoring in German, we are happy to work with your materials. Let's talk!

Cost per Lesson

Single Private (one student): $75 per hour
​Single semi-private (two students): $120 per hour ($60 per student)

Packages for Private Lessons

10 hours: $700
​15 hours: $975​

Packages for Semi-Private Lessons

10 hours: $550 per student
15 hours: $750 per student ​

Terms and Conditions

  • Private lessons are payable by check, cash, or through Venmo.  
  • Lessons are non-refundable due to no-show by student. 
  • Private lessons packages are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase. Under no circumstances can a private lessons package be refunded, in part or in full.
  • Your instructor must be notified at least 24 hours in advance of any schedule change or lesson cancellation you wish to make. Otherwise, you will be charged for the lesson or the lesson will be deducted from your package. For lesson cancellations made at least 24 hours in advance, an attempt will be made to reschedule the lesson on a different day during the same week. 
  • Returned checks are subject to a $25 charge. ​
